Match Report Press Report

The Gurkha East Grinstead Lost to Autarky in a one-sided match.

With the home team having higher Gradings in 4 of the strings, the match was always going to be in their favour. The away team proved the statisticians wrong though by clinching a great win.

On paper, the number 1 string should have been the closest, with only 27 ranking points separating the two players before the match. The Away player, Matt Wagg, did well therefore to secure the win.

It was the number 2 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 105 Points ! Victory finally going to the Away Player, Henry Bitmead.

Player of the tie was the Away No. 1 string, Matt Wagg, gaining 2494 Ranking Points from the match.

Player of the match must be the Away number 4 string, Matthew North, who over-turned a 619 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
