Match Report Press Report

Weald I (formerly Weald II) Lost to East Grinstead I.

With the home team having higher Gradings in 3 of the strings, the match was always going to be in their favour. The away team proved the statisticians wrong though by clinching a great win.

On paper, the number 5 string should have been the closest, with only 31 ranking points separating the two players before the match. The Away player, , did well therefore to secure the win.

It was the number 4 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 133 Points ! Victory finally going to the Away Player, Matthew Gimson.

Player of the tie was the Away No. 2 string, Leon Harris, gaining 100 Ranking Points from the match.

Player of the match must be the Away number 2 string, Leon Harris, who over-turned a 1039 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
