Match Report Press Report

Weald I (formerly Weald II) Lost to Crawley Squash Club IV in a one-sided match.

With the home team having higher Gradings in 3 of the strings, the match was always going to be in their favour. The away team proved the statisticians wrong though by clinching a great win.

On paper, the number 1 string should have been the closest, with only 6 ranking points separating the two players before the match. The Away player, Paul Newton, did well therefore to secure the win.

It was the number 3 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 104 Points ! Victory finally going to the Away Player, Tom Marner.

Player of the tie was the Away No. 4 string, Bailey Malik, gaining 100 Ranking Points from the match.

Player of the match must be the Away number 4 string, Bailey Malik, who over-turned a 866 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
