Match Report Press Report

Crawley Squash Club IV Beat East Grinstead I in a close match.

With the home team having higher Gradings in 3 of the strings, the match was always going to be in their favour. This turned out to be the case with a Home win.

On paper, the number 5 string should have been the closest, with only 10 ranking points separating the two players before the match. Home advantage prevailed though, with winning through.

It was the number 4 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 132 Points ! Victory finally going to the Away Player, Matthew Gimson.

Player of the tie was the Home No. 1 string, Richard Martin, gaining 100 Ranking Points from the match.

Player of the match must be the Away number 3 string, Leon Harris, who over-turned a 879 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
